Spotify will lay off 600 people, which is close to 6% of its workforce.

- Carman reports that Spotify employees had a sense of the impending layoffs, as evidenced by posts on their workplace social network Blind.
- Chief content and advertising business officer Dawn Ostroff will step down after five years of leading Spotify's podcast strategy. However, CEO Daniel Ek shared in a meeting that the "podcast strategy wouldn't change."
- Alex Norström, the chief freemium business officer, will now oversee content. Carman notes that his background is business as opposed to Ostroff, who came from the world of content.
- Spotify will be hosting Stream On on March 8, which will be live-streamed on their YouTube channel.
