Thai property firm MQDC plans to launch its first metaverse project called Idyllias.

The first property project in Idyllias is The Forestias, a mixed-use residential project valued at 125B baht ($3.7B).

  • Idyllias would be Thailand's first metaverse connecting the real and virtual worlds, said Parut Penpayap, project director of MQDC Idyllias.
  • Idyllias will connect to the Translucia metaverse, designed by T&B Media Global, a Thailand-based company focused on entertainment content and animation.
  • According to Parut, the metaverse represents "a new generation of the internet based on Web3."
    • Metaverse will play a critical role in the future and introduce new economies by 2030, Parut said.
    • These economies include the education-technology market (worth $429B) and the smart home market ($329B), among others.
