A poll conducted by Censuswide and international cloud and edge solutions provider Gcore investigated cloud usage patterns among fintech companies.
Respondents work for 136 different companies specializing in various fintech services.
The poll findings suggest that many fintech companies rely on off-premises data center infrastructure to support their service operations.
- When respondents were asked how they deal with increased loads on the IT infrastructure, 52.2% said that they connect to a hybrid cloud.
- Regarding modern technology use, 33% of respondents reported using AI/ML to process their applications, while 36% reported using autonomous finance tools.
- The survey looked into the fintechs’ main functions supported by a hybrid cloud strategy and found that 39% of respondents use hybrid clouds to prepare for peak loads and traffic growth, followed by 37.4% who use them to complete collaborative projects with partners and 36.5% who use them to ensure infrastructure sustainability.
- Finally, the survey highlights how fintech companies use the cloud to drive their global expansion. Nearly 51% of respondents plan to connect hybrid clouds in new regions to expand their strategies.
