Amazon announced that it would hike the fees for its Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) service in the U.K.
The move came as a shock to many third-party sellers, who expressed concern about the scale of the fee increases.
Amazon's MCF solution allows third-party sellers to leverage the e-commerce giant's extensive logistics network to fulfill orders.
- Amazon told sellers on its Seller Central Europe site that it would raise fees for packages of certain sizes due to "rising operational costs brought about by inflationary pressures."
- The fee increases, which will be applied from April 7, 2023, target larger parcels and oversize tiers.
- The fees for a 400g standard parcel at one unit per order will increase from £3.54 to £4.18.
