Texas-based grocer H-E-B is combining digital shopping with physical retail.
The company will install digital displays in its stores that allow users to access services offered at over 300 H-E-B locations.
H-E-B will roll out branded displays from American home services website Thumbtack.
- The displays will allow customers to scan a QR code to locate and hire pet services while they shop at H-E-B.
- Select H-E-B stores will also provide displays that give shoppers access to handyman, lawn care, and cleaning services.
- The initiative marks Thumbtack's first move into physical retail and helps the company realize its mission to "make caring for everything in and around the home a seamless experience for the homeowner," said David Steckel, Thumbtack's Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships.
