Amazon to launch NFT marketplace soon

 

Amazon is gearing up to launch its NFT marketplace as soon as April, reports Yahoo! News.  The marketplace will allow customers to acquire nonfungible tokens (NFTs) linked to physical products delivered to their doors.  Amazon's plans to build an NFT marketplace were first described by Blockworks in January, but details were limited. Web3 design company Ava Labs announced the same month that it had entered a partnership with Amazon. Amazon will initially offer 15 NFT collections for the U.S. market before expanding its NFT platform worldwide.  The marketplace would have been released before April if it had not been for the collapse of FTX, reported The Big Whale. FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried allegedly shifted $9.3B in customer funds from the exchange to his hedge fund Alameda Research.
