Anchor has combined with Spotify for Podcasters, as announced at Spotify's Stream On event.
Megaphone will be integrated under this umbrella in the future.

Since there were many updates from this event, I am splitting the
coverage up into podcast-related and general Spotify updates. The
updates below are podcast-related only.
- The new Spotify for Podcasters
is making interactive functionalities like Q&A and Poll available
to all creators on the platform, not just Anchor users as was previously
the case.
- The updated Spotify feed
allows vertical scrolling and previews for podcasts. The feed promises
"personalized recommendations." Podcasts that have videos can be watched
and listened to on these feeds.
- A podcast auto-play option is now available.
- Additionally, NPR has joined the Spotify Audience Network.
Updates on new and returning Spotify Originals and Exclusives:
- Spotify
now has an exclusive partnership with Markiplier to publish video
episodes of "Distractible" and "Go! My Favorite Sports Team."
- "The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark" is a new podcast from Spotify, DC, and Warner Bros. Characters from "Batman Unburied" are set to return.
- "The Comment Section" with Drew Afualo is going Spotify exclusive starting April 5.
- Season two of "Forbidden Fruits" is releasing on March 17, featuring video episodes.
