"Bel-Air" renewed

 

Peacock renewed the coming-of-age drama series "Bel-Air" for a third season.   The show is a dramatic reimagining of the classic '90s sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." The show is currently in the midst of its second season; the Season 2 finale hits Peacock on April 27. This is the first formal renewal for "Bel-Air"; Peacock had originally placed a two-season order for the series in 2020. Jabari Banks stars as the new version of Will, who moves from West Philadelphia to live with wealthy relatives in the titular Los Angeles neighborhood. "Good Girls" and "Truth Be Told" vet Carla Banks Waddles took over as showrunner in Season 2.
