Amazon released a new trailer for the fifth and final season of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel."
The series returns with three new episodes on April 14.
- Co-showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino told The Hollywood Reporter that
the plan had always been to wrap up the show between four and six
seasons, and while writing Season 5, an opportunity to wrap up the story
presented itself.
- The new season finds wannabe stand-up
comedian Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) closer to realizing her dreams than
ever, but still facing relentless setbacks.
- Sherman-Palladino
created and showruns the series along with her husband, Daniel
Palladino; the duo say they have known what the show's final moment will
be since writing Season 4.
- "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" has won
20 Emmy awards across its run, including Best Comedy Series and acting
nods for Brosnahan, Alex Borstein, and Tony Shalhoub.
