British retail chain WHSmith hit by breach

 

British retail chain WHSmith has been hit by a data breach.   The breach may have exposed the data of thousands of current and former employees. The company has stated that it will directly notify the affected individuals through email. This breach is believed to have occurred after Jan. 18, but more technical details have yet to be announced. WHSmith currently employs over 12,000 people and has $1.6B in revenue.
