Montana-based cloud data storage giant Snowflake has committed to spending $2.5B on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services over the next five years through a new agreement.
Snowflake has been working with AWS to provision its cloud services since its launch in 2012.
- Both companies say that 84% of Snowflake customers use AWS to run their cloud deployments.
- The expanded collaboration will involve joint development initiatives, go-to-market efforts, deepening product integrations, and developing more industry-specific solutions and large-scale projects.
- Snowflake had pledged a $1.2B spending commitment with AWS in a previous contract.
- Snowflake’s revenue jumped by 53% YoY from $383.8M in Q4 2022 to $589M in Q4 2023.
