French cloud computing company OVHcloud has expanded into India with the launch of its new data center in Mumbai, the country’s most populous city.

 

French cloud computing company OVHcloud has expanded into India with the launch of its new data center in Mumbai, the country’s most populous city.  

OVHcloud CEO Michel Paulin highlighted that India has “a very fast-growing market,” thus presenting ample business opportunities. 

  • According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), India’s market for public cloud services is expected to hit $13B by 2026. 
  • The new Mumbai data center will enable Indian businesses and organizations to store their workloads while adhering to data compliance standards amid a nationwide push for more data protection initiatives. 
  • OVHcloud boasts over 30 data centers worldwide and plans to open 15 new global sites by 2024.
  •  The cloud firm has received $200M in funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB), which helps fuel its growth and expansion.
