Google Cloud has announced a partnership with Singapore-based telco StarHub as well as the launch of three new telecom products.
This is part of the search giant’s strategy to position itself as a leader in the rapidly growing telecom cloud industry.
- The
collaboration enables StarHub to enhance its services by combining
Google Cloud’s advanced cloud infrastructure with its expertise in
networking and telecommunications to deploy cloud solutions in a way
that delivers top service optimization and reliability.
- StarHub
will incorporate Google Distributed Cloud Edge and Nokia 5G Standalone
Core to create a multi-access, software-based 5G cloud core network. The
telco is also looking into leveraging AI, ML, and data management
capabilities to boost its network operations.
- Google Cloud has also debuted telecom products: Telecom Automation, Telecom Data Fabric, and Telecom Subscriber Insights.
- Telecom Automation is said to automate the 5G deployment and management of cloud infrastructure and network functions. It can integrate with Telecom Data Fabric,
a new data analytics platform that helps communication service
providers (CSPs) capitalize on their data assets, solve their data
challenges, boost innovation, and increase network efficiency.
- Telecom Subscriber Insights
is a solution that uses AI-driven data models and predictive
intelligence features to help telcos improve subscriber acquisition and
retention.
