The author's work has frequently gone viral in Reddit's "NoSleep" community; this will be the first Hollywood adaptation of his writing.

  • Netflix obtained the rights to adapt the story following a bidding war with other networks and streamers.
  • Jessica Chastain will star as a mother who suffers from intense migraines, during which she sees visions of terrifying creatures.
  • "Lovecraft Country" vet Misha Green has been tapped to direct.
