The sports-focused cable replacement service FuboTV plans to rebrand itself as simply "Fubo."
The company announced a new marketing and branding campaign to
evangelize and promote the service, led by Ryan Reynolds' agency,
Maximum Effort.
- The new Fubo tagline will be "If Sports Fans Built a Streaming Service."
- NBA star Kevin Garnett and NFL vet Mark Sanchez will serve as the company's first celebrity endorsers.
- Last year, Fubo inked an unscripted development deal with Maximum Effort
and launched a dedicated channel for the company's content on the
platform; in exchange Maximum Effort received equity in the streamer.
- Fubo added 323,000 net subscribers in 2022; it now boasts around 1.44 million total paying users.
