Twitch layoffs / FuboTV rebranding

 

As part of larger layoffs at Amazon, the company will let go of 400 Twitch employees. This is the second major round of Amazon layoffs in the past six months; around 9,000 total workers will be impacted, including the Twitch staffers. The news came just days after Twitch co-founder and CEO Emmett Shear stepped down and was replaced by former president Dan Clancy. Twitch reaches around 31 million visitors each day, and ranks among the Top 50 most visited websites in the world. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has indicated that more layoffs may be on the way, but that the process should be completed by "mid to late April."
