According to analysts at Yardi Matrix, over 40,000 luxury homes were completed in major U.S. cities.  The analysts believe another strong showing this year.  Deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Ethan Handelman, said often new housing is branded as luxury.  Builders pointed to a large amount of regulation in the housing sector as the reason for the high cost of housing in the country.  The portfolio manager at Armada ETF Advisors, Al Otero, expects rents to not decrease over the next one or two years.
