Amazon Studios and Prime Video apparently plan to lay off around 100 employees this week, according to a report from Deadline.

So far, the most notable termination is Tracey Lentz, Amazon Studios' head of creative for unscripted TV.

Lentz's termination is part of an overall consolidation of Amazon's unscripted division; the teams working on content for Prime Video and Freevee are merging under Lauren Anderson.

  • At least one scripted executive is also expected to depart, though they were not named in Deadline's report.
  • Mostly junior staffers are expected to be impacted; this will likely include some employees from the recently-acquired MGM and Orion film studios.
