Amazon Web Services (AWS) recently announced the general availability (GA) of the AWS Supply Chain.
This cloud application connects to a company’s enterprise resource
planning (ERP) and supply chain management systems to assist with
inventory monitoring and forecasting. The cloud giant has added several new features to its newly released cloud application.
- AWS
Supply Chain leverages cloud infrastructure to unify supply chain data
and deliver ML-powered actionable insights that enable resource planning
and reduce stock-out or excess inventory risks.
- Retailers
can benefit from AWS Supply Chain, as the service provides a thorough
overview of a retailer’s stores, distribution centers, and other
logistics facilities.
- According to the AWS website,
AWS Supply Chain generates more accurate product demand forecasts,
adjusts to fluctuating market conditions, and provides built-in
contextual collaboration capabilities.
- The
latest updates to AWS Supply Chain include easier integration with SAP
SE’s S/4HANA enterprise resource planning system, an upgraded interface,
and a new automation feature that enables faster data preparation
tasks.
