Best Buy partners with Ōura

Ōura announced a retail deal with Best Buy on Monday.

The deal comes as Best Buy lays off staff across the country in a bid to refocus its operations on e-commerce, reports the Wall Street Journal.

  • Ōura makes smart rings that provide users with data about their sleep, activity levels, and other health-related metrics.
  • The company's wearable health products will become available through Best Buy's online platform and 850 U.S. stores.
  • The firm previously partnered with Japan's Softbank to sell its rings through Softbank's Selection Online Shop.
  • The partnership with Best Buy is Ōura's first major retail deal in the U.S.
