Best Buy partners with Ōura

 

Ōura announced a retail deal with Best Buy on Monday.   The deal comes as Best Buy lays off staff across the country in a bid to refocus its operations on e-commerce, reports the Wall Street Journal. Ōura makes smart rings that provide users with data about their sleep, activity levels, and other health-related metrics. The company's wearable health products will become available through Best Buy's online platform and 850 U.S. stores. The firm previously partnered with Japan's Softbank to sell its rings through Softbank's Selection Online Shop. The partnership with Best Buy is Ōura's first major retail deal in the U.S.
