Netflix renewed the adult animated comedy series "Big Mouth" for an 8th and final season, ahead of its Season 7 debut.
The spinoff series "Human Resources" was also renewed for a second and final season; the last episodes of "Big Mouth" will resolve the storylines of both shows.
- The Season 8 pickup makes "Big Mouth" officially the longest-running scripted series in Netflix history, other than shows made specifically for kids.
- The record was previously held by the live-action sitcom "Grace and Frankie," which ran for seven seasons.
- "Big Mouth" centers around a group of teens going through the ups and downs of puberty, and was inspired by the real-life experiences of co-creators Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg.
- Collectively, "Big Mouth" and "Human Resources" have been viewed for more than 1 billion hours on Netflix, by members of more than 50 million households.
