Facebook parent Meta has open-sourced Animated Drawings, its project that lets users animate their own drawings and sketches.  Meta's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team created the project, which was launched as a web tool in 2021. To create animated sketches, users select a demo figure or upload their own doodle, which is limited to an individual human-like character. They then must change the size of the capture box of the sketch and adjust the joint positions. The four categories of animations are limited to dance, funny, jumping, and walking. Meta also asks users to sign a consent form to use their sketches for AI training, though it's not required to use Animated Drawings.
