GoPuff launches 4/20 themes campaign

 

Gopuff, a delivery service, launched the new "I Puffed Today" campaign to celebrate 4/20. 

The campaign was in the style of a political ad ahead of the upcoming election and encouraged those getting high to order food with their service. 

  • The decision to run a 4/20-themed advertisement comes as marijuana and weed culture becomes a predominant part of social culture. 
  • Legalization in parts of the United States and many other Western countries has also allowed companies to more freely explore opportunities to market to smokers.
  • BIC and Jack in the Box also had their own 4/20 commercials capitalizing on the unofficial holiday. 
  • As part of the campaign, Gopuff is conducting an out-of-home activation in Manhattan.
