Hulu's Earley promoted

Earley and Paull

Hulu president Joe Earley received a promotion, and will succeed Michael Paull as the new president of Disney Entertainment's direct-to-consumer division.

This puts Earley in charge of all of Disney's streaming businesses, including both Disney+ and Hulu.

  • A former Fox executive who joined Disney in 2019, Earley will report directly to Disney Entertainment co-chairs Alan Bergman and Dana Walden.
  • Alisa Bowen will remain as head of Disney+ specifically.
  • Paull held the direct-to-consumer job for six years, and moved over to Disney from Amazon.
  • Disney Studios' president of marketing Asad Ayaz was also promoted, taking over the newly-created role of Chief Brand Officer for the Walt Disney Company.
