National Workplace Wellbeing Day highlights companies' commitments to supporting their employees' well-being in Ireland.
It was initiated by Ibec,
the group representing Irish businesses, in 2015. Ireland is the first
and only European country to have a national day devoted to employees'
social, mental, and physical health.
- Up
to 1,000 businesses participate annually, and the day educates all
stakeholders and helps employers evolve and excel in their wellness
strategies.
- On the day, employers spotlight the range of
activities they offer that benefit their employees' social, mental, and
physical well-being, both on social media and directly to their teams.
- Ibec
will launch the "Top 100 Companies Leading in Wellbeing" index this
year, recognizing the top 100 businesses of all sizes for their
exceptional contribution to employees' overall wellness.
- The
Top 100 will be celebrated with an inaugural Leading in Wellbeing Lunch,
and the Best in Class awards will recognize companies that have
excelled across key areas of their KeepWell accreditations during the
last year.

- The
benefits of a successful workplace well-being program include improved
employee health, higher levels of engagement and productivity, and a
far-reaching impact on employees' families and communities.
