Quiet Platforms chief steps down

The head of American Eagle's logistics operation, Quiet Platforms, will step down immediately.

The retailer noted that Quiet's business had not achieved the envisioned results.

  • American Eagle established Quiet Platforms after acquiring fulfillment and logistics firm Quiet Logistics and the smaller parcel logistics startup AirTerra in 2021.
  • American Eagle Chief Supply Chain Officer Shekar Natarajan became president of the new logistics business.
  • American Eagle told Supply Chain Dive that Natarajan will step down immediately due to "changes within the Quiet Platforms organization."
  • Quiet Platforms' Chief Operating Officer, Brent Beabout, will also leave the company.
  • American Eagle Chief Operating Officer Michael Rempell said in the firm's Q4 earnings call that Quiet Platforms grew "below what we expected" despite expanding almost 40%.
