San Francisco-based startup Ditto has emerged from stealth following a $45M Series A round led by Acrew Capital.
Ditto specializes in a distributed database that runs across edge services and in the cloud.
- Ditto
claims to provide real-time data sync regardless of internet
connectivity. This is possible because the company’s distributed
database can work across Bluetooth, peer-to-peer wifi, and local wired
networks, which enables any changes made to the data to sync offline
upon detection of cloud or peer devices.
- The
startup says its cloud database contains automatic scalability and
high-performance capabilities. It can seamlessly integrate between an
organization’s existing systems and Ditto’s HTTP APIs, webhooks, and
write log system.
- Customers
can choose from different versions of Ditto’s cloud database, including
shared environments or dedicated environments managed in a customer’s
personal cloud account. Developers are also given the option to use the
platform’s APIs or query-based sync, or both.
- According to the company website, Ditto offers solutions for the aviation, service, military, and IoT sectors.
- The
company has raised $54M to date and plans to use its fresh funds to
increase its headcount to exceed 100 employees by the end of this year.
