San Francisco police said they arrested tech consultant Nima Momeni in the fatal stabbing of tech executive Bob Lee.
Momeni, 38, owner of the technology company Expand IT, was taken into
custody on Thursday. He faces charges of murder and a "special
enhancement" for using a knife, allegedly in the April 4 stabbing of
Lee.
- Police said Lee and Momeni knew each other. They did not provide a possible motive behind the crime or other details.
- A report
by Mission Local claims the men were riding together in a vehicle
registered to Momeni when a "confrontation" escalated to a stabbing.
- Momeni is scheduled to be arraigned later today. Prosecutors are asking the court to deny Momeni bail.
- Lee founded the finance app CashApp and more recently served as an executive at the cryptocurrency firm MobileCoin.
- The
43-year-old was stabbed in the early morning of April 4 in San
Francisco's Rincon Hill neighborhood and later died from his injuries.
