The third episode of "Succession" Season 4 -- which features a much-discussed twist -- set a new viewership record for the series.
Around 2.5 million viewers watched "Succession" on Sunday night across both the HBO cable network and streaming services.
- The
previous record was held by the Season 4 "Succession" premiere, which
was viewed by around 2.3 million viewers on its debut Sunday, and has
reached around 7 million total viewers to date.
- That was a 62%
improvement over viewership of the Season 3 premiere, and the best
performance of any HBO original season premiere since the launch of HBO
Max in May 2020.
- Producers took a number of precautions to keep the Episode 3 revelations a secret. [CAUTION: This link contains spoilers for "Succession" Season 4, Episode 3.]
