Tripadvisor has teamed up with the San Diego Tourism Authority for a campaign featuring interactive street murals by three local artists in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
The
Shipyard is the agency that launched this immersive art campaign called
"The Sunny Side of Things," aimed at promoting travel to San Diego.
- The
murals include QR codes that can be scanned to unlock an augmented
reality experience and animated GIFs for social media sharing.
- The
three selected artists — Channin Fulton, Hanna Gundrum, and Phoebe
Cornog — painted the murals, which convey feelings of joy.
- San Diego planning guides and shareable social media content will also be available on Tripadvisor as part of the campaign.
- The campaign shows how marketers leverage mobile tech to capitalize on the return to travel post-pandemic.
