Walmart announced plans to make large investments in a charging network for electric vehicles (EVs).  The retail giant plans to leverage its network of locations to offer charging stations throughout the U.S. In 2018, Walmart announced plans to roll out EV charging stations in partnership with Electrify America. The retail giant has already installed almost 1,300 EV fast-charging stations at over 280 locations in the U.S. The original agreement planned to establish charging points in 34 U.S. states. Walmart now plans to install EV charging stations at Walmart and Sam's Club stores throughout the U.S.
