iHeartMedia continues to rely on podcasting for the company's growth, and CEO Bob Pittman doesn't see that trend changing. iHeartMedia saw more double-digit growth in Q1 2023 in its podcast revenue. At J.P. Morgan's annual Global Technology, Media, and Communications Conference on Tuesday, Pittman doubled down on iHeart's podcasting commitment. - "To the contrary, podcasting has been the best performer of all media, and I don't see that slowing," he said. "Everything's been compressed down as a result of the ad downturn, but nothing other than that seems to be affecting podcasting."
- Pittman also said that iHeartMedia is open to buying, similar to how it purchased Stuff Media and Jelli.
- Podcasting provides a fresh customer stream for the conglomerate, as most of its listeners tend to come from radio.
