Nike veteran Blanca Gonzalez will become the senior vice president and general manager of Foot Locker's WSS banner.
She will oversee Foot Locker's bid to turn WSS into a $1B brand.
Foot Locker acquired WSS in a $750M cash deal in 2021.
- WSS ran 93 stores in California, Texas, Arizona, and Nevada when it was acquired.
- The brand has a neighborhood-focused store fleet and targets Latino communities.
- Foot Locker noted that WSS only operated in three of the states with the highest Latino populations when it was acquired.
- Gonzalez will contribute to Foot Locker's effort to expand WSS's presence on the West Coast.
