Podscribe unveils tool for simulcast ad tracking

 

As the rise of YouTube simulcasts of podcasts continues, Podscribe, the advertising verification and attribution platform, has unveiled a new tool that allows advertisers to track how their commercials are doing.

 The YouTube Conversion Modeling feature lets advertisers see how a simulcast campaign is performing and compares it to the podcast campaign performance. 

  • The two campaigns will show up in a unified dashboard, so advertisers don't have to go to multiple places to track performance.
  • Brands may have been leery about advertising on YouTube in the past due to a lack of attribution, so this could open up a new revenue stream.
  • Podscribe applies the audio conversion rate to YouTube views for the ad and episode. 
  • "Many consider using the audio conversion rate to video as conservative since downloads and views have different qualities. Given more data, we may consider adjusting to perhaps use a 1.25x the audio conversion rate on YouTube," said Podscribe CMO Amelia Coomber.
