Vercel, a California-based company offering a platform for front-end developers, has just released a new suite of back-end services built in collaboration with Upstash, Cloudflare, and Neon.
The new services include Vercel KV, Vercel Postgres, and Vercel Blob.
Vercel KV is a serverless Redis solution powered by Upstash that enables developers to create Redis-compatible databases which can be written to and read from Vercel’s Edge Network in specified regions, requiring little configuration.
- Vercel Postgres is powered by Neon and is a fully managed, highly scalable, fault-tolerant serverless SQL database built for the front-end cloud.
- The final offering, Vercel Blob, is powered by Cloudflare R2 and is touted as a fast, easy, and efficient solution for storing files in the cloud that leverages a powerful storage API.
