Ameriflight received FAA approval to launch large-scale drone delivery operations.  The cargo carrier plans to use its Matternet M2 drones for e-commerce and healthcare deliveries.  Ameriflight aims to operate drone deliveries in dense urban and suburban U.S. communities. The firm will use larger drones for heavy cargo and smaller drones for time-sensitive deliveries.  The larger drones are being developed by Natilus and Sabrewing. Ameriflight signed purchase agreements with the two drone developers earlier this year.
