Electric vehicle maker XPeng announced it secured a permit

 


Electric vehicle maker XPeng announced it secured a permit to roll out its driver-assist technology in Beijing.

 This follows the release of the tech in Shanghai in March and prior rollouts in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

The City Navigation Pilot includes self-braking at traffic lights and intersections, among other city traffic tasks.

  • A highway version of the driver-assist technology for the P7 sedan launched in Q1 2021.
  • A beta version of the new capabilities will be rolled out to G9 Max and P7i Max EVs through over-the-air updates.
  • Tesla's Full-Self-Driving is not yet available in China.
  • $XPEV was up 9.44% for the day and 34.78% WoW, on Thursday morning.
