According to a report by the Corporate Research Forum, 43% of senior HR leaders believe that HR business partners (HRBPs) are unprepared for the future requirements of their roles, citing significant changes in the role and a gap in skills such as strategic thinking, digital competency, and commercial awareness. The study also revealed a significant discrepancy between HRBPs' self-assessment of their competencies and the evaluation of their skills by senior HR leaders, indicating the need for strategic realignment, skill development, and embracing new technology & AI in the HRBP role.
