Amazon launched its first pickup location in Puerto Rico.

 

Amazon launched its first pickup location in Puerto Rico.  The move comes after Puerto Rico's infrastructure was disrupted by a series of hurricanes in recent years.  The pickup location is in Puerto Rico's capital city of San Juan. The site is operated and leased by Ocean Drive Logistics. Amazon noted that Puerto Rican customers can still access home delivery options. Amazon provided financial incentives in May to entice U.S. customers to use pickup locations rather than home delivery. The e-commerce giant seeks to lower last-mile delivery costs.
