Relevance: Data from the U.K. market indicates that the COVID-19 pandemic helped boost D2C commerce. 22% of manufacturing businesses in the U.K. saw D2C revenue increase during the pandemic, while 35% reported that sales remained steady. 

What's next: Online retail slowed down in 2022 as customers returned to brick-and-mortar stores. However, quarterly e-commerce sales in the U.S. have continued to grow at a slower pace. D2C brands are pivoting toward wholesale partnerships to diversify and stabilize their revenue streams.
