Target has promoted Lisa Roath to executive vice president (VP) and chief marketing officer.

 Roath has been with the U.S. retail giant for 17 years and most recently served as senior VP of food and beverage merchandising. 

In her new role, Roath will be in charge of Target's creative campaigns, guest marketing, strategy, retail brand experience, social media, paid media strategy, and marketing strategy and operations.  

  • The retailer has positioned itself as one of the largest digital grocers in the U.S., and its annual food and beverage sales have grown by over $5B since 2019 under Roath's leadership.
  • Roath will report to the executive VP and chief guest experience officer Cara Sylvester.
