The traditional Bavarian monastery of Andechs has introduced a VR program offering immersive tours of its brewery.

 The program, named "TimeRide GO! Kloster Andechs 360," provides a unique perspective into beer-making, allowing visitors to explore areas typically inaccessible due to hygiene and other regulations.

The VR program is offered by TimeRide, a company known for its VR attractions in various German cities.

  • The VR tour of the Andechs Monastery Brewery is available in two durations:
    • a 45-minute tour priced at €11.90;
    • or a 90-minute tour priced at €16.90, including a beer tasting.
  • The VR experience includes a digital 3D representation or a 360-degree video, with a narrator explaining the beer-making process.
  • The Andechs Monastery Brewery is one of the last breweries run by a religious community, the Benedictines of St. Boniface in Munich and Andechs.

New Belgium Brewing in the U.S. offers a VR tour that takes visitors through the brewing process and the company's sustainability practices.
