The U.K.'s Trades Union Congress (TUC) found that 70% of disabled women and 68% of disabled men in the country earn less than £15 ($19.70) per hour, significantly less than the respective rates for non-disabled female and male workers. In response, the TUC has called for mandatory disability pay gap reporting, an increase in the national minimum wage to £15 per hour, along with a ban on zero-hours contracts and better enforcement of disabled workers' rights. |
