What the numbers say: NPR's Up First and The Mel Robbins Podcast earned the highest Civility Scores, according to Seekr. Each came in with a "High Civility" score of 83, meaning that there are very low or no amounts of personal attacks in the podcast episodes. On the other hand, Pod Save America from Crooked Media earned the lowest Civility Score of any Top 10 news podcast, checking in with a 50.

Relevance: Seekr, an AI company that specializes in content evaluation, and Oxford Road, a leading audio ad agency, announced the launch of the first-ever Civility Score for podcasts. The Civility Score uses Seekr's AI to give marketers a way to measure brand suitability, helping them to deliver a larger return on investment. Civility Score uses AI to measure the volume and intensity of personal attacks in top podcasts' episodes. Marketers can see the Civility Score for each show and use it to assess risk when advertising with a show.

Other civility scores: Crime Junkie, the top true crime podcast, earned a 97 Civility Score, while another true crime podcast, The Last Podcast on the Left, earned a 44. For society & culture, Huberman Lab earned a 98 Civility Score, while Girls Next Level posted a 71. In comedy, Funny Cuz It's True with Elyse Myers earned an 85 Civility Score, while 2 Bears, 1 Cave with Tom Segura & Bert Kreischer had the lowest score of any in the report, a 41.
