Roblox has hired Tian Lim, a former Google Play VP, to head its division for user-crafted experiences.  Lim will lead a group whose goal is to help create easy-to-use tools for the social platform's young users to pick up developing skills while building immersive programs.  The tools will also help companies build immersive experiences aimed at helping grow their brand.  Roblox is committed to the idea that user-generated content will be a formative part of the metaverse. Lim explains, "I don't think Roblox is trying to build the metaverse [...] it's building the platform and operating system for the metaverse." Lim previously acted as Hulu's CTO from 2014 to 2017 and worked as a team leader at both Xbox and PlayStation.
