California-based networking, cloud, and security solutions provider Cisco will acquire cloud security startup Valtix for an undisclosed sum.
The deal is slated to close in late April.
Cisco aims to expand its security portfolio through the acquisition.
- Valtix launched in 2018 and offers a multi-cloud network security platform available on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- The startup claims its platform takes just five minutes to deploy and 30 seconds to adapt to new apps.
- Notable platform features include continuous visibility and control, adaptability to multiple cloud formations, on-demand scalability, and a high-performance pipeline that enables 10x throughput and latency improvement compared to other solutions.
- Contractual terms state that the Valtix team will become part of Cisco’s Security Business Group.
