The Global System for Mobile Communications (GSMA) has just announced Open Gateway, a united interface designed to provide universal access to operator networks.
This will enable developers and cloud providers to enhance their services and accelerate deployment across operator networks.
The GSMA will formally debut Open Gateway at its annual Mobile World Conference in Barcelona on Feb. 27.
- Mobile Network Operators have changed their business strategies in recent years and are collaborating with tech giants to leverage advanced technology, which improves their services across the board.
- 21 GSMA members will use the universal interface, including AT&T, China Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, and others.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure have voiced their support for the project.
