Grubhub is rolling out delivery robots at more college campuses in the U.S.

The move comes as the food ordering and delivery platform expands its partnership with robotics firm Starship Technologies, ChainStoreAge reports.

  • Grubhub partnered with Starship Technologies to enable robotic deliveries at college campuses in the U.S. in 2022.
  • The zero-emission wheeled robots can travel up to 4 mph and carry the equivalent of three bags of groceries.
  • Grubhub currently offers robotic deliveries at the University of Kentucky; the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; Wayne State University; Southern Methodist University; and Fairfield University.
  • The robotic delivery program is set to expand to George Mason University, Baylor University, and East Carolina University.
  • Grubhub also has plans to partner with robotics provider Cartken to enable robotic deliveries at Ohio State University.
