Walmart will stop providing pickup-and-delivery-only locations.
The retail giant will use what it learned from providing the service to shape its larger retail operations.
- Walmart initially provided curbside pickup-and-delivery-only locations as a nine-year test of the concept.
- The company opened three test sites for pickup-and-delivery services in 2014.
- The sites were located in Bentonville, Arkansas; Lincolnwood, Illinois; and Metairie, Louisiana.
- Walmart shuttered operations at the Metairie location last year, and the rest will close by Feb. 17.
