private sector has raised $4.2B since Vice President Kamala Harris
launched her "Call to Action for Northern Central America."
- In May 2021, Harris announced her Call to Action for Northern Central America to create economic opportunity in the region and address the root causes of migration.
- Several firms responded to Harris' Call to Action by committing to boost their sourcing from the region.
- Target pledged to boost its spending by $300M in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras by 2033.
- Columbia Sportswear committed to buying up to $200M in products from the region.
- Approximately 47 companies and organizations are collaborating as part of Harris' public-private initiative.
